I believe we should always keep the faith and always be grateful to God our lord for it is him who gave us this life and it was all free. I have never ever heard about any person who God told to part with a certain amount of money so that he could be blessed. All that God wants from us is to trust him and let him be our guide and in turn we offer our lives and only a ten percent of our gains, that's all He wants from us.
Now just think of what you do.
My dad once said
God with all the right intentions sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to this world so that Whoever believed in Him would not perish but should have an ever lasting life. With all the miracles and all the teachings He did, we still could not accept that He was the Son of God. We doubted Him and crucified Him. Now fast forward to 21st century God is using fellow men to show His mighty and Awesome nature yet we still treat our neighbours in a mean way, do you know that the person who you despise could be he breakthrough you need to experience the Glory of God's kingdom? The child you neglect could be the appointed one to anoint your life with the power and wisdom of God's ways.
It's not for me to tell you what to do but there is only one way to live. Believe in and trust in God and you will see the much He will do for you!

Lets for instance look at how a baby struggles o make his/her first steps...
They start by crawling and they give up not, the fight tooth and nail to make a step and no matter how long it takes them they move on to the next step using anything above their head to support their stand, we too should fight on days end to make a place for ourselves in the society and not to be better than anyone else but to be at a position that anyone else in need can reach us. But its so unfortunate that most of us want to succeed and be better than us all yet all the material wealth we have will never go beyond this life.
Lets be seekers of life so that we can live even beyond our death. Let not the troubles of this life hinder us to see the Glory of God. A simple life will leave you a happy man for you will never have to worry about who is behind you coming for your wealth. Lets not worship the monetary value in our life, for that will only bring more trouble to our already troubled life.
Its not for me to tell you what to do but live life so pure that you will not be ashamed to face the judgement day.
God bless you all.

Over 10,220 days since I was born
Personally I believe that we can easily achieve this but we have to put our interests aside. We need to let our egos die and stand up to protect the interests of others but not only where they benefit. I long for the days when our politicians will be the servants of the people who put them in office but not to take it as an opportunity to greedily enrich themselves. Though it’s what the world is, we all have a role to play. It’s the high time we all did something to make everything better and live as God intended. It does not cost us a penny to treat other people nicely; neither does it make us lesser humans when we spend a few minutes to bring back a smile to someone who just needs that.
I thank each and every one of you who have made an effort to make this world a better place. Along the way you may have been humiliated for doing the right thing and your name dragged into the mud for standing for the rights of the less privileged but God our Father up in heaven will reward you and pay you for every deed of kindness you have ever done. It may seem as though all this is in vain but always feel that you have done the right thing, even when others feel the opposite for you. Nothing is more satisfying than knowing you have done what makes your heart glows.
Together I believe we can do more and this world would never be the same again only if we all join hands and work together with the aim to score towards the right goal. Let it be your initiative to see that you do whatever you can and never say that somebody is coming after you to do it, what if you are the last person in line?
The rules to the game are simple, LETS ALL JOIN HANDS AND WALK THE TALK!
GOD BLESS!
To many, taking such step is out of the question. All they think is what will the world think about me? And my question to them is, of what value would your fighting with such a person be to you and those around you? All the while when growing up we were taught values that were supposed to guide us in this life, to live peacefully together with other people around us no matter how selfish greedy mean and violent they could be. Living peacefully alongside others should be a no brainier. There is nothing we should be worrying about this time and age in life. We should always look back and see where the actions of our predecessors landed them when they turned against each other. I know it feels bad when you lose but is that the end to your fighting? Was that the moment you were supposed to win and lift the trophy? I guess we have our priorities wrong.
According to my thinking, the reward we get from this life is eternal life, that is, if we have lived as per God’s wish. The bible always talks about forgiving and always sacrificing but the world today preaches about me, money and more money. Only a few people will stand out for having lived a life so pure.
It is time for us all to embrace the peaceful way of life. To accept that the goals we set ourselves may flop. It takes nothing away from our life to forgive neither do we lose much to accept that things don’t work the way we expect always. Let us not be a society that cries over spilt milk for once gone it gone forever. It may be a hard lesson to learn but it starts by knowing that everything we have today is by the grace of God, who is the author of our lives.
God bless you and lets together work towards a peaceful world.
It is all possible and it starts with you.
God bless you.
Unless you change
A better world starts with You and Me
If each one of us can play their part and be the best we can, be minders of those around us, then we would definitely see the world become a better place. It is only by being humble, honest and most of all giving that will see us all win. There is no winner in the society if a hundred others are suffering. We have to make sure we all climb the social ladder together with others around us so we can have each other to support while up there.
You can change and change the world too. A better world starts with you.

My point is, lets not give up yet and lets work hard to achieve our goal and always stand up strong to overcome the challenges in our way for nothing comes easy. Even the people who know us will in one way or another do something to bring or just slow us down either knowingly or just to stubborn, this I say out of experience.
May God the giver of Life, give us good health and humility to tolerate those who hurt us.

Why!
All this are questions that are trapped at the back of my mind and nothing seems to justify what is happening in our world today.
I wish this came to an end today and together we live in harmony.
Be an ambassador of Peace and let the love grow again.

And we Dare complain
Now look at the photo below and tell me if you still to have more in your life? I know you have bills to pay and all sorts of expenses to take care of but surely you don't need another pair of shoe or even a cuter dress. This child can only afford to play and enjoy every minute in that puddle of mud for there is nothing else that is available for her to play with. Just think what else comes with the environment she is living in. Getting something to eat everyday is a miracle, access to proper health care is next to impossible yet even when we have insurance to take care of us we still complain and we are all smiling pushing that piece of bread into the trash just because we have had enough.
Les all change our ways and know that we already have enough and there are other people who need what we deem useless to us.

Worry No More
He who made Heaven and Earth,
He who feeds the birds
Is Watching over you.
Trust God with all your fears and He will turn then to joys. Its not by chance that you are living to day, He knows about you and what you are going through today. At times we all feel like we can question God and ask Him about things that always seem to go against our wishes or just ask Him to put things right but take it easy and relax, He does all these to prepare us for the road ahead, so that we can always appreciate whatever we receive and also be able to manage it wisely.
I belive evrything happens for a reason and God always wants the best for us. And with that in mind, Worry no more. He will make a way for US even where there seems to be none. He will lead and walk us through the valley of death and no one will hurt us.

We all have something to give
It does not matter whether you have or not because everyone of us has something that the other person does not have. Some people have talents that if well utilized can bring harmony and heal the world, something we need so bad. Other people have a sense of humor that if they only shared with others could trigger something in me that can make me open up and work hard and share my blessings with others. This goes on and on and proves to us that we not only need the material wealth to make the lives of others better. It goes beyond that. If each one of us gave two hours of service every week to the community around them, then, we can create a chain of good deed in every part of planet earth. Take for instance, a young man goes and tills an old woman's land every week for two hours and the cycle is repeated by ten other people till they bring harvest to her granary after a few months, then hunger will be a thing of the past to her and also others around her if she shares the same produce with others.
I wish each one of us can practice that and see how far we can go as a unit. The only challenge and what have killed the universe is that everyone has kept everything to themselves. Long time I remember people used to do everything like a community, children were raised by the community and there was plenty of love to share amongst all in the community. Long gone are those days. Today my child is my child and if they did something nasty to my neighbor they only get away with it or lest they face the wrath of an angry parent who never wants their child punished.
Who will come to heal the universe if not you. Stop sweeping the dirt under the carpet because change for a better tomorrow starts with you. If you did a good deed to your fellow mankind today, it will definitely come back to you tomorrow for what you plant is what you harvest. Always remember that a good deed never goes unnoticed and that is what will bring us to the light that we see at the end of the tunnel.
God bless you all and may the chain of goodness start with you now and ever.

This is life
Life is short, so no need to be stressed. You can make every down turn your up turn and you can turn every stress to dessert and that is the moment you will realize you are strong when weak and all you need is patience and a little courage to face the storm.

An open letter to all who made 2009 a beutiful year
A lot happened between the last 365 days, some I would wish to forget and some great experiences that I would never want to let go.
I am so grateful to God for all the wonderful people who have been and have positively made an impact in my life over this ending year. My parents, Michelle, Art and Andy and the entire Stark family, Linda and Adam, Cathy, Lori Doug and Kyle not forgetting Mum Julie. I can mention so many of you, oh not to forget you Jasmine, Kasia and Mandy. And the list goes on and on. You are the people who have truly inspired me over the year 2009. Some others are those who I haven't mentioned but in my heart I appreciate all your support in anyway it came from you. Without you I don't know how life would have been though my belief is that God sends us friends so his work can be seen. Lots of love to you all who have taught me how to fish and stand up on my own. You may have not realized but because of who you are and what you do or you did while I was around you, made me learn that I got all I need to appreciate what God has given me.
Since I cannot be able to repay you for every single deed of kindness and love you showed me please accept this as my new years gift and may all that we shared in the past year be the energy we need to live beyond our lifetime.
My wish for the coming year is to see the world coming together for the sake of the needy so that they to can have a reason to celebrate not only in the coming year but for many more to come. There are many ways to get involved and I know there are also many places to render your support. My support and heart goes to Matanya's Hope (www.matanyashope.org). Click on the link and learn how you too can get involved. The world needs you so be the love that the hurt need.
Ps. Michelle just have Katherine and kids know this.
God bless you all.
Miss you and love you
Kharees.

It's because of God's grace that I have come this far despite many challenges along the way. God has walked with me step by step all the way since this year began, I almost gave up the fight at the beginning of the year but God is good that there was someone to strengthen me.
All the way I can truly say that God you are great and your name be magnified, for there is no one like you.
Thank you for all that you have done to me, and thank you so much for what you are about to do. I believe and I have faith that God you will provide me with what I need in the coming year.
Guide me and give me wisdom that I may dwell and walk in Thy light Oh lord.
Be my strength and be my light when I WALK IN THE DARK.
Be my shelter when I walk in the storm.
As you bless me, Dear God remember all those others who don't know you and all those who seek you.
May your light shine on our paths each and everyday of our lives. May your Grace be our hope and refuge at all times.
I, we, need you God.
Show us the way.
Lead us.
Till our days end.
I have faith that you will see us through.
Amen.

The Beauty Of Life
The beauty of life is to be able to share the joy in our hearts regardless of the times and of people around us. We can only realize true happiness if we are able to overcome tough situations or be able to see other people who are in struggle through their toughest times.
It is so unfortunate that the world we have today reflects more on material wealth but not what lies deep within our hearts. I will not be surprised if you told me that you have been turned down by someone you have always counted on just because they could not spare a shilling or dollar they spent on an item they didn’t need, this is because I have seen it happen over the years. Many would rather own something they can touch than give the most valuable and precious gift of love and hope to someone in need.
If we can value all people whether rich or poor as we do to just a small piece of stone named diamond, this world would be a better place to live in. It’s disheartening to see the gap between the rich and the poor. Such that the poor don’t have a say or even their opinions cannot be considered by the rich even when they clearly prove they need to be given a chance. I truly long for the day the rich will seat and laugh with the poor, a day when the rich will share a meal with the poor unlike today where you find a poor man eating what has been left over by the rich man because he is now satisfied.
The people we regard as of no knowledge since they don’t have anything be it a home or piece of cloth in their name, are the ones who could be so enlightened than we are. We need to uplift them in any way possible to bring them to the level we are standing on. We don’t need to be rich to do that but it’s through encouraging them and sharing the little we can afford that can reach them on the platform that is supporting our feet today.
If we can all come back to our sense and value while treating all people without prejudice, we can achieve a lot since we will have created a level playing ground. Everyone will be able to share and speak their minds without fear of being shut down.
Let us be the positive influence that those in need cannot find. Be the shelter that anyone who needs a roof above their heads is looking for and most of all is to be a friend to all regardless of age, race or status in life.
On our own we cannot make it neither can we do much, but through God’s love for mankind we can only have faith and trust that he will make a way for us so that we can accommodate one more soul in our lives.
May God bless and keep you strong today and forever more.

It's time to get our friends on Board
There is still a great part that needs to be played. Getting our own friends to do what we do is the challenge. We need to make them and truly learn that this world needs them. It's because of you and I that the future of so many people around us will change. Just by opening our hearts and knowing other people need us, we will have played a big role because when we have thee means we will remember those in need.
I know we are all different, and truly I respect that. But my question is, isnt a great team have people with different skills? Maybe you felt it was too early or it was to late to do something; the time to act is now. Whatever little we can do, anything we can have our friends do, is the part we are supposed to play in this team fighting the global challenge.
Thank you so much for reading my blog. I love you all and God bless you as we continue to work towards a great and bright future for all.
If this is your first time here
I am a volunteer with Matanya's Hope an organization that is focused to change the lives of children in Kenya by giving them education. Lets all lead a positive life.
Never give up but always give.

We all have something we can do
If today you decided not to do anything, in my community alone hundreds of children with dreams will die without a helping hand. Life to them is just a difficult puzzle to solve. On one hand is the great need for water. Rivers have gone dry and where there is any water, chances are that they have to share the spoils with all sorts of God’s creation; crocs, hippos just to mention a few. A day can be spent fetching less than a gallon of water as the water source could be 5 – 10 miles away. My question to you is, how far do you go to get water? As people of good will, can finding a permanent solution to this problem be that difficult? It takes you and I to put our brains to task and seek help on behalf of all in despair. On the other hand is starvation, lands that were once so productive can barely support any plant; dust baked by the hot sun is the only cover the plants surviving this tough climate have. Families have lost hefty amounts of income after the death of their livestock caused by severe drought. Life is so unbearable, the only hope these people have is you.
If we can all join hands together as people of good will, we can advance the communities around us to a better life. We do not need to hold any political offices so as to do our communities well; it’s through our own good will that we can achieve this. We have all it takes to inspire those who need us most at this time of crisis.
Let’s join hands together and promote the excellence of the hard hit communities around us. Give what you can, do whatever that is within your reach and together we will achieve great results that will not only see our brothers and sisters progress now but for generations to come.
God bless you all.

I thank God because with good intentions and love for us protected us from the harm we would likely cause ourselves by knowing what to expect in future . By leaving us with no knowledge or even the slightest idea of what to expect the next day he did us a great deal because today we have a task at hand. We have to work our way out of each and everyday’s chores. We have to see to it that we live in harmony with those around us regardless of their age and positions in the community. If now we already don’t have the respect for the young and the helpless in the society, how would it be if we were so certain that they were just mere human beings with no power at all?
The people who hold the key to our bright future are unknown. It could be your neighbor’s child who can barely move. It could be that elderly man or lady who spends endless hours begging by the roadside.
Let’s have respect for all. Treat your neighbor well. If you too want people to respect and take you as a person of high esteem, then just know that CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME, every good deed starts with you.
Set the example and live knowing that someone is looking up to you.
Let’s be men and women of God

My Corner Stone
Amazingly its so strong such that with all that I take there it never crumbles
No one here on earth can be that corner stone in my life.
When am down I always run there
When am blessed I never turn away my eyes from the cornerstone
Because
Thats where my refuge , salvation and foundation is
Thank you Jesus for being my Cornerstone.
I you
I trust.

Go do the work
In the house of the Lord there is a lot to do but the workers are very few. Will you be among those working for the glory of the Lord or Will you be among those working to satisfy fellow men? The choice is yours.
Go out there do your best and serve God through his children.
Respect
If all you do is to brag and boost about how successful you are, tell me, how will those looking up to you for advice know the right way to live with those around you. Who will teach the same kids to mentor the ones being born today?
If we don’t change our ways now, in a few years to come we will have a generation that knows no respect and again a more poorer one because when pride reigns, selfishness will always have roots in us.
God’s intention was to have a world with people who would be there for their neighbors always no matter the cost.
Am so sad today that money and power has brought about all the greed and ego in the human race. We need to live and survive the right way knowing that the world outside and around our lives is watching.
Dear God,
I know you have a purpose for each and everyone of us. Show me the way.
I need you
I seek you
Be my refuge
Be My Hope
Be my shelter
And to you my life I give.
Amen.

Dear God,
I know I have a commitment to fulfill. Without you I will fail. Whenever I am out there doing what I think is good to the society, the more even those I trust to be my friends criticize me. Teach my critics how to appreciate me rather than condemn me. God I pray that you may give me the courage and strength to do the best things to the people of my community and the world in general. Teach me never to expect anything in return of what I do to those in need. Walk with me so I have you by my side every day.
Open the eyes of my heart Lord so I can see you and also see and hear the cry of your children. May the work of hands be a true witness of your might. Bless me Oh Lord that I may always welcome criticism as a way to grow and even do better and mighty things.
It’s in your presence God that I can find my strength, be there for me always and I will follow you without a murmur.
Amen.

When a man is so attached to his pride, no matter how good he is, he will always miss the point. All they see and think is that someone is out to make their life miserable because all they know and wish is the world out there to see and say about how successful they are.
My friends, this will lead us nowhere. Our ego will on reck what we have built over the years. So the best way to live our life is to let our pride go and live our lives at the level of those who look up to us for help.
May God make a better way for us
So we can learn to tell the truth
May God open our eyes so we can know that pride recks
Dear God please hear our prayer.
It's only God who will see us through.
God bless you and lets learn to respect and live our lives us men who know God.

DEAR GOD
Because God lives
I know I will over come all challenges in my way
Because God has made a way for me.
God Guide me. Lead me where you will
I want to know you more
And know your ways.
Teach me how to trust you at all times
Even when the tide is so high
Teach me to have patience
Even when all those I meet doubt me
God in you I trust
For I know you love me
God teach men to trust and believe
God bond me with my enemies
Be my refuge in turbulent times
Be my shelter in both strong rains and winds.
God to you I commit my life
And
I pray that God you will glorify me
That you will open the doors of success for me
Because
I know and believe that no matter the situation
The sun will shine in my life again
And
I know you will see me through
Thank you God for all that you have done in my life and for who you are to me.
I pray and believe you will make a way for me
Amen

Of late I have met different categories of human species. To be specific am critical about this group of people who either think poverty does not exist on the face of earth or it's either their language teacher to blame for giving a totally different definition and meaning of the word poverty.
Many families that I have met of late through Matanya's Hope the organization I work with, have heart-breaking stories to tell. How else can we break the cycle of poverty or better still the cycle of human suffering if we are not ready to chip in and be active in practicing the will of God.
I thought as per the teachings of Christ we were meant to love our neighbours as we love our own selves. Since when did this change? When was the end date of us as Christians to stop minding about our brothers and sisters in need? I myself haven't heard of such a date. But interestingly enough those who are responsible of guiding us and teach us the ways of Christ have chosen to do otherwise. Does working to enrich our own lives solve any problems our neighbours have? Why have we forgotten about of brothers and sisters in need?
Is governance to blame for the sufferings in our homes and community at large? What does the leaders of the country have to do with our own negligence at both our homes and places of work?
In my own judgement I would say we have failed in our responsibilities and turned to blaming everything on either our government, economy and the global climate change.
Real change to our problems will only come if we realise and accept to take the blame. Let us welcome the change no matter the cost because it is because of our own negligence and ignorance that the problems and challenges we have exist.
Many of us will not agree with this but the truth remains that we are responsible for a great and bright future. So let each and everyone of us play his/her role the way we are supposed to and always be ready to accept to be corrected whenever we go astray.
May we also ask God's guidance in all we do.

We are all equal in the eyes of God.
When God created us, he made sure we all resembled his own image but gave each and everyone of us unique talents that no one can match. In God's wish list if at all he had one, was to see us put our talents into good use and always be appreciative of what we got. Over time, this has proved a bigger challenge as many of us have at on time or another complained that we dont have enough. Is this what God wants to hear?
In result to this, we have now become jealous of our brothers and sisters who have put their knowledge and skills into good use. We have adopted a new style of despising those who challenge us with negative and ill motives so they could fail in what they do. Is this the world we all talk of making a better place for future generations? Why on earth would you stand up against your brothers and sisters and spread discrediting and disheartening stories about them to those who seem to be a hope or a source of hope for them? Why is it that we always keep asking those around us to hate and stop associating with certain people around us even when they have done nothing wrong?
The good news for us who have been persecuted at the expense of other people's happiness is that Jesus died for us. He gave us life and a second chance in life. No matter how much efforts and gossips your enemies will put behind their 'strong-holds' we will always come out victorious. God will always bring us back to life even when our enemies have shot our hearts with teir bullets. Even when our friends stab us on our backs, God will still bring us back to life and get us back on track with much energy than ever before.
So my dear brothers and sisters, fear not for God will stand by us everyday. And he will annoint us in the presence of our haters.
Always seek God and he will stand by you.
Amen

Thursday, January 8, 2009
Everyone in this world has his/her own purpose. We all have different gifts and talents, some that are mighty and some are thought to be insignificant.
What makes our gifts and talents mighty or insignificant is how we choose to put then into use. By just sitting and doing nothing you or those around you will never realise you can excel in a certain area or field. Even if you feel yours is the least imput among the people around you bring, it to the table. Spread it and let the critics talk. Whether they shout scream or do whatever they can to stop you, do it more and always put more effort for by the end of the day, what is counted is not how big your talent was, not how skillful you were but it is how you were able to execute the task with alot of success that will count. And always remember there is always another way to skin a cat!
So to all of you who shy away from the limelight because you fear you cannot achieve as much as your friends who have made it big, its time to give them a run for their money. Come out and let the race begin. Do it nice and slow. Walk at the pace you are comfortable with and always be focused to win the race.
When the tortoise and the hare went to compete in a race, the hare was everyones favourite competitor because they judge him from his previous achievements. No one was in support of the tortoise who by his previous achievements was slow. This made the hare to be over confident and even had the guts to sleep on the race after knowing he would beat the tortoise in the race easily. The tortoise never gave up. He walked from the start and was consistent till the end. As slow as he was he won the race because as the hare was sleeping the tortoise was working hard.
This is how our lives are. We give up easily after our competitors discredit us for the job but if we can be consistent, as slow as we are, as unqulified as we are thought to be we can bring good results and by the end of our lives we shall be the winners.
Don't shy away. Make use of whatever little you have and soon you will realise your efforts paid off.

THIS YEAR LETS MAKE A DIFFERENCE
As the year comes to an end, it’s time for us to re-evaluate our actions in the past year. A lot was laid down on a table and marked ‘my resolutions for the new year’ – yet at this point and time nothing has been achieved or if any was done, it wasn’t anything that was planned for.
As human beings, we are bound to lose focus on whatever goals that we have set for ourselves. We are subject to making decisions that affect our lives in both positive and negative way. Either way, it’s our choice to make use of the resources around us to bring good results in whatever we have planned in our lives.
Now that the New Year is here, what do you want to achieve. How am I going to achieve what I lay on the table this day? Is this going to be another year of disappointments? The choice is yours, to make it or break it.
In my opinion, we should all adopt a new attitude and live our life as simple as we can. And here are a few ideas:-
Living one day at a time – let’s not burden our lives with issues that can be resolved by addressing the ones lying on our hands. Why should you worry about tomorrow when at the present time you have a ton of problems to solve? By solving whatever is before us now, we can easily overcome tomorrow and the day after with ease and with a lot of success.
Let your fears go – this year, let courage be your weapon. We shouldn’t look at whatever we have at hand and ask how am I expected to do this, all we should ask is what else do I have to do after finishing this. By this you will notice that no matter how tired you are, you still have a lot of energy to accomplish something else.
Be positive – one thing that stands between us and success is negativity. Many of us will never accomplish anything because we are afraid to lose or fail. When in this kind of fear we cannot accomplish any task even if it means the world to us. Venture out and face the challenge and when you fail, try again and again without walking away till a good result is achieved. Be positive even when the task at hand seems impossible to us. Don’t walk away. But do whatever you can no matter how many times you try.
Appreciate those around you – many of us will look at those around our lives and say they are of no use to our lives. Argue with me, but remember, wisdom does not belong to the people who are rich materially rich, wisdom is God given and even the poor of the poorest has it. Treat the everyone with respect whether rich or poor because God does not send blessings just to those who have everything they want in life, he shares it with anyone who calls upon his name.
Be yourself – be the person you are. Don’t change to look good in the eyes of those we need to benefit from when the truth is we just want to use them and ones we have achieved what we wanted we walk away. If you are this kind of a person, take this as your wake up call. Rise and be honest. For those of you already doing good things keep it up and let your true heart reach out for those with evil souls and minds for they don’t know what they are doing. It’s just their selfish part of them doing this. It’s upon us to change them. Stand for what you believe in as long as it is Godly and beneficial to those around you.
Be prayerful – Remember, this world is not ours, we are just passers-by. Thank God who gave you that wonderful family, house and anything else that you value. And for those of you who have nothing to be proud of, remember God up in heaven still loves you and when the time is right, He will show is face to you. He will lift you up and your wish will be granted. Lets pray each and everyday. In pain or joy let’s remember that it’s God who has given us this life and in whatever situation we are in He knows. Fear not and walk in righteousness for by doing this, Our God in heaven will repay us for any good deed we did while here on earth. Go now and serve the world.

MY PRAYER TO GOD
I know I have gone astray and I dont want to be far from your grace and your face.
I pray that you may bring me closer to you,
That I may learn your ways better and I may lead a pure life.
In my life God, Lays a thousand questions.
Most of wich I cannot answer on my own.
Help me know what am supposed to do everyday.
Walk me through all the struggles I have.
Protect me from the enemies' swords.
I know you already know my destiny,
So I trust my soul with you
May you lead and guide me to your glory,
and I will follow without a murmur.
God cleanse my soul,
wipe away all that does not belong to your Kingdom from my heart,
Clear my conciousness that I may not dwell in the past but walk towards the future
Give me the wisdom to know whatever that is wicked
Give me the couage to reject all that seems good to the eyes but unpure for the heart.
In darkness be my light,
In weakness be my strength,
In the cold be my shelter,
Show me my true love.
Dear God,
My heart is torn. Mend me.
I know that you have good plans for me
And I believe that when the time is right
You will show me your face
And all will be well.
May you guide and lead me where you are
And I will follow without murmur.
For I pray this
Believing that you will hear my prayer
Knowing that you already knew my destiny long before I was born
That your may heal my wounded heart
today and forever more
In the Name of JESUS I PRAY
Believing that all will be done
AMEN

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
It's not by our might nor our wish that we are breathing today. It's all God's blessings and his loving mercies that we are healthy and alive.

GOD SENDS US ANGELS EVERYDAY - Michelle Stark
We just have to open our hearts to see them.”

November 25, 2008
In July of 2007, on the streets of Kenya, God placed before me a boy who called himself Esokuku. Dressed in tattered clothes, Esokuku also wore all the signs of hunger – but he had a sparkle in his eyes that claimed complete ownership of my heart. At that moment, I knew I had become a mom again.
Esokuku never begged from me nor did he beg from anyone else that we saw – although he later told us he was sent to the streets to gather whatever means of food or money that he could. There was little choice. Esokuku was an orphan.
After helping both his mother and his father fight for their lives, they each succumbed to the devastating effects of AIDS. Upon their deaths, Esokuku was frightened and alone; he went to live with his only living relative – an old, jobless and severely crippled grandfather. His new life was filled with an empty stomach which somehow made his hurting heart less of a focus. In addition to the lack of food, there was no bed…in fact; there was not even a blanket to cover his hungry body with during the cold nights of winter. (Yes, it gets cold in Kenya.)
Still, in Esokuku’s life, there was love. Esokuku walked miles every day to fetch water and firewood to take care of his beloved grandpa. He bathed his grandfather and washed his tattered clothes and he kept a fire going to keep them both as warm as possible. When food was available, Esokuku cooked and cleaned the few utensils they had. There was no money to send him to school, so Esokuku tried as hard as he could to push his dreams of an education far from his heart. Fourth grade was the last grade to ever see Esokuku’s face.
But on that blessed day in July of 2007 when Esokuku was placed before me in the streets of Nanyuki Kenya, both of our worlds changed forever. Our dear friend, Julius Gatobu, Director of Victory Academy accepted Esokuku to boarding school in Nkubu Meru Kenya. Esokuku would not have to want again. Before Esokuku left for school, he let us know just what an angel he really is: “please take care of my grandfather”, he said. And with tears in his eyes, he turned to go to school.
Today, Esokuku is respectfully known as Ambrose Lanuko (his real name). He is at the top of his class and is working hard to realize his dream of becoming a doctor. Ambrose’s grandfather is being cared for by Matanya’s Hope directors, Mr. and Mrs. Mugo.
This year, after becoming thoroughly exhausted from shopping for Matanya’s Hope, (I am not much of a shopper), I was blessed again by one of God’s angels.
My back ached from carrying more heavy bags than my fingers could support; my feet hurt from walking and my brain was tired from bargaining. Small shop owners were on me like flies on over ripened fruit - everywhere….in front of our face, on our arms…in the middle of our paths – you name it, anything to sell a trinket.
NO ONE SAID DOING GOD’S WORK WOULD BE EASY….JUST BEAUTIFUL.
