We all have something to give

Many times I meet people, and I tell them what I do and say they want to help, but they don't have anything to give. I too, before my eyes opened, saw what the world thought in the same way, but now I can clearly see and know there is more to give than just money and material wealth.

It does not matter whether you have it or not, because everyone of us has something that the other person does not have. Some people have talents that, if well utilized, can bring harmony and heal the world, something we desperately need. Other people have a sense of humor that, if they only shared with others, could trigger something in them to make them open up, work hard, and share their blessings with others. This goes on and on and proves to us that we do not only need material wealth to make the lives of others better. It goes beyond that. If each one of us gave two hours of service every week to the community around them, then we could create a chain of good deeds in every part of planet Earth. Take, for instance, a young man who goes and tills an old woman's land every week for two hours, and the cycle is repeated by ten other people until they bring harvest to her granary after a few months. Then hunger will be a thing of the past for her and for others around her if she shares the same produce with others.

I wish each one of us could practice that and see how far we can go as a unit. The only challenge that has killed the universe is that everyone has kept everything to themselves. For a long time, I remember people used to do everything like a community; children were raised by the community, and there was plenty of love to share amongst all in the community. Long gone are those days. Today, my child is my child, and if they did something nasty to my neighbor, they only got away with it or faced the wrath of an angry parent who never wanted their child punished.

Who will come to heal the universe if not you? Stop sweeping the dirt under the carpet, because change for a better tomorrow starts with you. If you did a good deed for your fellow mankind today, it will definitely come back to you tomorrow, for what you plant is what you harvest. Always remember that a good deed never goes unnoticed, and that is what will bring us to the light that we see at the end of the tunnel.

God bless you all, and may the chain of goodness start with you now and ever.
