Its not over yet

The last few months have been a real eye opener. I have traveled far and wide across Kenya and in every other location I set my foot there has always been a unique experience to learn from. Travel has taught me to always appreciate what I have and to always be grateful for the opportunities that have come my way. I have come to appreciate stuff that maybe for a long time I took for granted. Nights that I have chosen to jump in bed without a meal could be someone's opportunity to save their life so they could see tomorrow yet to me it is simply because I didn't like what was on the menu or I had fed my self on junk the whole day. I splash water with reckless abandon because the taps in my house never run dry yet to many they walk miles and miles to fetch less than a gallon of the precious commodity. I long for the day that nations will come together as one,a day when races will not be black or white, when the religion will not lock any one out. I long for that day that our politicians will see eye to eye and when the citizens who sent them to office will be their first and major concern. I long when everyone one will work hard and eliminate the struggle the marginalized communities go through. Who will come save the world if it is not me and you? Do you long to see a police force that works hard for the community? A tomorrow that there will be no guns? Today is our chance to change on ways and perception. We can do as per God's will and send this world back on the right track. We can be united again if we forget about our own goals for a moment and strive to work as a people of one big global village. Together as one we can be stronger and happier than we are today. Let us embrace peace, patience and love and do what God intended us to do.
