Mirage

As we all know, a mirage is just an optical illusion. On a cool and perfect day, everything seems normal, but think of when you are traveling down the road or we are out in the desert on a hot, sunny day. We see a mass of water ahead of us, and we never get to it no matter what. Sometimes, when we are not in our rightful sense, we are strengthened by the mirage, thinking that we can now quench our thirst only to keep chasing the elusive drop of water we need. In our relationships, we are the same. One party wakes up and decides it's time to leave and reach for the love, happiness, and appreciation they see from a third party. Running away from your own problems doesn't bring peace, nor does it bring the love you need. It is only a mirage because once you have moved out of your place, you realize that the love and happiness you are reaching for are still quite a distance from the ground you are standing on. Nowhere in life will two people have a beautiful life without going through heaps of problems, arguments, and accusations. To bring out the best in us, we have to go through fire. For a goldsmith to realize the maximum profit from his raw gold, he has to put it through fire to bring out the best of it. In life, we must be willing to stand firm and face our challenges. Other people will promise a good life only to leave when you need them most. No one will value you more than yourself. The moment you realize that people don't value you, look deep inside yourself, and you will realize that whatever makes you feel so is a mirage. It is just an illusion you have when you think someone new will love you better. Let yourself be happy, and sooner or later you will realize you were better off where you thought love and appreciation were insufficient because these are the people who had the best interest in you. It's only human to see the grass greener across the fence, but remember to water the ground where you stand, and the grass will be as green as what you see from afar.
